Heritage Park
Heritage Park is located off 190 in the middle of town where it sits just outside the Historical Main Street District. It is the proud home of Locomotive #5 & Jonas Davis Log Cabin. These two pieces of history and this park are kept up by the Polk County Heritage Society, the same people responsible for the Christmas Train Village the town enjoys every year. This park has a picnic area for a nice lunch and is a State Historical Marker. Heritage Park is a favorite place for locals and visitors alike to take pictures. It also has the Polk County Memorial Museum sharing a fence line, so just around the corner there is even more to see. Come enjoy these little pieces of history located in the middle of town and get a picture with the past in the present. Please consider clicking here to help save the Jonas Davis Cabin.
