Polk County Memorial Museum is one of the finest small museums of local history anywhere. The museum has some new exhibits of Native American artifacts and some regularly open exhibits of local history. Feel free to contact the museum to plan school outing, family travel stops, or just stop by during normal open hours. Have fun experiencing some of the past in this hidden gem of a history museum. They have permanent and temporary exhibits throughout the year. This museum sits just outside the Historical Main Street District and is perfect to add to a fun outing around town. It even shares a fence line with Heritage Park, so just around the corner is even more fun and places for pictures.
