62nd Polk County Youth Rodeo

 

     The 62nd Polk County Youth Rodeo will be held at Barney Wiggins Rodeo Arena in Livingston. There will be food and fun for people of all ages. Come on down to taste some great food and see some skilled riders. The fun starts on Wednesday, July 5th and goes each night until Saturday July 8th.       There is only a $10 fee per person to attend this event, but kids 12 and under get in free. The schedule has some different events occuring on each night and some events occuring every night. This rodeo will have some Mutton Bustin’ Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They will also have Bull Riding on Friday and Saturday. Some nightly events include Straightaway Barrels, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, and more.

 

     There are open sign ups for Mutton Bustin’ and Straightaways on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Sign ups are from 4:30pm-5:30pm in the hospitality room. Mutton Bustin’ is limited to the first 15 sign ups per day. 

 

     There are 48 Event Belt Buckle prizes for this rodeo. They will even be awarding Saddle Certificates for the “All Around High Point” girl and boy. This is an excellent event to introduce someone to the world of rodeo and an event that seasoned cowboys love too.

 

     Livingston Specialty Merchant’s Guild invites one and all to #livlocal at this event. Feel free to hit the town to dinestay, or play before or after enjoying the Polk County Youth Rodeo.
