Picnic in the Park & 4th of July Fun
There are a number of things to do in and near Livingston for this very special holiday. Fireworks are a normal celebration, but one celebration that is always a favorite in this small town is the “Picnic in the Park” event at Anniversary Park in Historic Downtown Main Street District. This event is on Thursday, July 4th from 10am-1pm.
This picnic always catches the eyes of anyone who drives by because the vehicles entered in the Car & Motorcycle Show are more like works of art sitting in downtown. People of all ages love to enjoy a free hotdog, or really the “donations accepted” hotdog, and take a walk around Anniversary Park enjoying the sun and the beautiful vehicles. All the donations from this event go to a local volunteer group called F.A.I.T.H Ministries. F.A.I.T.H buys, packs, and sends care packages to active duty soldiers.
Don’t just drive by with the windows down, make sure to get out and have some fun for a little while. There will even be contests with prizes and many booths to explore. Kids are invited to bring in a decorated bike for the Bicycle Parade. Each patriotic bike has the chance to win something sweet to go with their pride of country. The parade starts at 11am.
The Livingston Specialty Merchants’ Guild and Livingston Main Street invites locals and visitors alike to see how we #livlocal at Picnic in the Park.
