     The Livingston Specialty Merchants’ guild always has something fun going on. Weekends at the Farmers’ Market are a local favorite. The Yellow Cottage’s famous Farmers’ Market just got even better. There will be a variety of booths with all kinds of vendors from grass fed beef to homemade soaps. There is normally even live music to listen to while enjoying some shopping, sweet treats, or a yummy lunch. This week though, they will be hosting a very special SPCA of Polk County event on June 5th from 10AM to 2PM. This is a fun event for people of all ages.

     The SPCA will be bringing some of their cutest and most adoptable babies. They will offer affordable adoptions on site for those who find the perfect pet for them while at the event. There will also be Silent & Live Auctions to raise money for the SPCA. One thing a lot of people are excited about is the cuteness guaranteed by the “Pet Fancy Dress Competition”. Do not worry if bringing home a new family member is not part of the plan. The whole family can have fun just the same.

     For the longest time the SPCA of Polk County was the only no-kill shelter for about 100 miles. They recently had a huge sinkhole appear on the property so the community is trying to come together even more to show support for all they do. The Livingston Specialty Merchants’ Guild invites locals and visitors alike to come on out and see how we #livlocal while having a great time supporting a wonderful cause. 

Most polite dogs are welcome to come out to Yellow Cottage Farm when on a leash.
